Clearance Info

The Bethel Park School District encourages the involvement of parents and guardians as volunteers in our schools. Pennsylvania State Law (Act 15) now requires that EVERY volunteer who has direct contact with students to have the necessary clearances on file with the School District.

To learn how to obtain the clearances and what other paperwork is required, please go to: http://www.bpsd.org/VolunteerInformation.aspx. Please do not take your clearances/paperwork to William Penn Elementary School.

If you have not obtained your clearances yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Again, you will not be able to volunteer with the PTO until your clearances have been processed at the Administration Building and you have been issued a Qualified Volunteer ID Card. If you currently have clearances, they may be no older than five years old and will expire five years after the oldest date of issue. Thank you for helping us to enforce State Law.
